“UFO-UMIS #50” is the 50th image made from the UFO-UMIS drawing series that started in 2004. This print celebrates 20 years of a slow, concentrated series of drawings that for von Bergen act as “taking a break” from his sculpture work. Von Bergen explores:

“process, composition, materiality that are trapped in a moment of time while being methodically rendered by pencil on paper”.

Over the years, von Bergen’s drawings have been exhibited internationally, including Art Cologne, The Wilhelm Hack Museum, The Pera Museum, and an upcoming exhibition at The Benton Museum of Art at Pomona College in California. Along with their inclusion into many private art collections around the world, his drawings have also been acquired by The Arndt Collection in Brussels, Rik Reinking Collection in Hamburg, Kunstmuseum der Stadt Albstadt in South Germany, and The German Bundestag in Berlin.
