Two exhibition openings are scheduled for November 7 at the Zentralwerk:
On the occasion of the “Erinnerungspolitischen Fachtags” (Political Memory Symposium), the Kabinett, a space for contemporary art at the Zentralwerk Dresden, presents the exhibition RELICS by the American artist John von Bergen. In 2018, John von Bergen had already conceived the series of installations that make up RELICS specifically for the Zentralwerk. The resulting works directly reference the history of the site, particularly its role as a location for industrial production under varying political and social conditions.
REMEMBRANCE – UNEARTHING STORIES is the title of the second exhibition, which also opens that evening and focuses on artistic research at the Old Leipzig Train Station in Dresden.
